Leadership

Serving as Project Manager throughout my sophomore year, I planned and led weekly meetings to ~30 members to further the design and implementation of a rainwater catchment system in rural Rwanda. I applied for grants, managed a ~$50k budget, and met frequently with the EWB Board, our Responsible Engineer in Charge, faculty mentor, Rwandan partner, EWB-HQ, and other EWB teams. I led design for our newest system using rainfall data, topographic maps, truss analysis, and SOLIDWORKS. My year focused on recruitment and retention within the rather small Rwanda team by presenting about EWB at 5+ campus and delegating tasks spanning design, fundraising, and cultural education, bringing 15+ new members to the team.
