Throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, I worked as a Woodshop Smith at the CU Boulder Idea Forge, one of our on-campus engineering makerspaces. I assisted in manufacturing of Idea Forge woodshop projects, cutting/drilling necessary parts for storage and furniture. Additionally, I taught 4 beginners 2x/week to use the table saw, miter saw, bandsaw, and drill press safely and correctly via Intro to Woodworking workshop, improving my own proficiency with the tools along the way. I closed the woodshop in evenings, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for students and staff the following day.
